Ashtanga Yoga Workshop with Tim Feldmann

16th - 18th September

Hot Yoga - New class starts 14th September
Bend it like Bikram with our new hot yoga class! You will sweat doing this sequence of 26 postures + 2 breathing exercises in a room heated to 37°C. Your muscles will relax, your body will open and your mind will become still.

The class starts on Wednesday 14th September 8-9:30pm. Beginners are very welcome.

Mind, Body & Soul Yoga for Women
Our ladies only class restarts for 12 weeks on the 26th of September. The class is designed for busy women and includes pranayama (breathing), asana (exercise) and yoga nidra (relaxation). For those wishing to go deeper, we also run a present heart practice to help bring clarity to our individual crazy worlds! All levels welcome x

September Timetable Changes
Due to Tim's visit there will be no Mysore class on Friday 16th September or Saturday morning class on 17th September.

There are no Sunday morning classes in September.

Intoduction to Ashtanga Yoga Course
- Next course starts 19th October
A six week course to introduce you to the basics of Ashtanga Yoga. During the course you will be introduced to yogic breathing, bandhas, sun salutations, standing postures and the finishing sequence. The course will progressively develop your strength and flexibility so by the end you'll be able join a level 1/1-2 or Mysore class with confidence. The course is limited to 7 students to ensure you get lots of attention.

The next course starts Wednesday 19th October at 6 - 7.15pm and costs £50. If you want to join the course please email or call to reserve a place then send a £25 deposit (cheques made payable to Yoga Shala Sheffield) to confirm your booking.

Ashtanga Yoga Workshop with Radha & Pierre
19th - 24th November

We are delighted to welcome Radha and Pierre back to Sheffield in 2011, following their very successful workshop here in 2010. This is another opportunity for us to practice with two of the most experienced Ashtanga teachers in Europe. For more details visit our workshops page.

Mysore Style Classes - Not just for experienced yogis
From Friday 6th May Jane Mark-Lawson will be teaching complete beginners and improvers at the Mysore style class on Fridays at 6pm. Jane will focus on those who are new, or relatively new to Ashtanga yoga, while Pete Gill will continue to teach the more experienced students.

This traditional approach is a wonderful way to start doing Ashtanga yoga! You work at your own pace, building up your knowledge and understanding of the Ashtanga system as your strength and flexibility improves. It allows a slow awakening of the body and the breath at a speed that suits the individual. Expect your first sessions to last about 40 minutes, with the length of your practice building up over time to an hour and a half. It would be helpful if you could let us know if you are joining this class for the first time.

Vinyasa Flow Yoga is coming to Yoga Shala Sheffield
Classes start Thursday 5th May 7:30-8:45pm
Hot on the heels of her highly successful workshop Carly will be starting a weekly Vinyasa Flow Yoga class at the Shala on Thursay 5th May. 

Randha Chehab Workshop & Morning Mysore
